C is too generous. A guy making Ladd money needs to contribute more than just goals..........unless of course he's a 40-goal scorer, which Ladd was not.

I think it's a fair grade, he was hurt and took time to adjust to minor league hockey. Also being bounced around like he was couldnt be easy, ask nikita kucherov. Homestly imagine going from quenville to cappy.

C seems fair. I still cannot believe the low amount of assists for Ladd, but he did not play with the best talent. Hopefully he is healthy next year and has a better year.

Your lips to God's ear. Maybe a full season playing with some talent would help, too.

Ladd was pulled off that 1st line after 5 games.

Just another shining example of the genius of Crappy. I'm sure Snow is regretting firing Crappy right now. Especially since the US just beat Sweden.

Ladd has to take some responsibility, but coming to a new team and getting one pre-season game and 5 regular season games is not a lot of time to get comfortable playing with JT.

Not sure that's accurate. Someone posted that a few months ago, and it is now taken as gospel. I actually think he was on the top line for 8 or 9 games........but I could be wrong. Not sure if there's even a way to look it up.

But whether it's 5 games or 9 games, Ladd contributed nothing while on the top line. True, JT missing nearly the entire pre-season because of that stupid tourney didn't help. But it shouldn't take 20 games to find chemistry with your line mates. It just looked like Ladd wasn't even trying........as in the effort wasn't there.

So you're saying he was impersonating Bailey until Bailey was ready to make the jump to the 1st line?

100% JS, the guy contributed nothing but the 23 goals ( 2 short of IHM's spew number) No grit, no assists, lost puck battles and was slow as shat!
C grade, for a guy who was going to give this team a one two punch with Tavares getting a 7 year deal at 5.5 the grade should be D-. As much as we hate the Cal and Casey deals this one is worse by far imho.

If anyone is interested in being like Andrew Ladd these ( below ) are available with the purchase of his jersey at the Islanders Store.

I thought it was 5 games, but it could have been 8 or 9? Ladd was not good to start the season. I think you are being a little hurtful to Laddy Daddy JS. It must be 7's influence.

You can blame me Ses, hell I don't blame you, but I think JS is just calling it like it is.

Everyone who plays bad is hurt. Been going on with the Islanders for a decade. Plays bad? Players hurt. No playoffs? Injuries and so on. Zero accountability for everyone!
